Today's birthday

I am happy to tell you that Ruby has arrived safely in Brazil, where she will spend a while with Graca and Talyta . She will no doubt move on speaking good Portuguese hahaha!! Graça and Talyta are very happy to have her company, and have promised us some photos very soon.

Ruby worries in case your name is not on the list to receive her, since she wants to go EVERYWHERE and visit EVERYONE in the Circle. She has asked me to add anyone who lets us know on here or by visiting her new online journal. You can read up on all her travels here or have fun playing her games. Meanwhile we'll continue adding anyone's name to the list who wants a visit from Ruby, and we look forward to hearing her adventures in Brazil.

I also fell on my bad hip, the one I had replaced, I seen dr today he ordered x rays, then I must see the orthoptic who did my hip replacement in a a week; pain is still there. Happy to report today I got my flu shot for this year, last year there wasn't any, so beside all that I'm doing fine. Bea from New York

  • Hi ... Hope you and yours doing well. We were pretty busy on our whirlwind trip to Vancouver Island ... were busy trying to help Terryl and Bill get ready for the wedding, had to change our rental vehicle from a car to a van to accomodate Russell's mom .... she is getting around pretty good with the artificial leg but gets tired real quick and at 85 tends to be impatient LOL .... The wedding was wonderful with perfect weather. Tad and Stacy are expecting a new addition (or 2) to their family in early April!!!! Things at the restaurant are going quite well so hoping maybe we can get away again and take some time off. We were not back a week before Russell's mom was back in hospital with bleeding, seems it is the divirticulitis acting up ... she is out of hospital yesterday. Our friend in California, Marti was in a head-on collision ..... she is real messed up .... broken ankle, hand, ribs, and a fracture in her neck thankfully not close to the spinal column, she is also out of hospital but is in immense pain .... I get my first semi annual cancer checkup on the 10th of November so am hoping for the best .... Oh by the way .... the music on the Circle website is beautiful :) .... I know I dont really add anything to the group but I am there .... am just very very shy. love Red Deer Linda

  • Good Morning to you my "Friend". Thank you for the beautiful rose. and thinking of me today. How are you doing? I am finally back to my old self! Am going back to work Monday the 24th! yahoooooooooo! Seemed like an eternity since I had my surgery. 11 weeks seemed like 11 years to me. I have a Dr. appt this morning and will get my release papers. Even if he says not yet, am going back to work. I feel fine, and my Gang are missing me terrible, not to mention how very much I miss them. I am very fortunate to have found this line of work, and am one of the few who really loves it. God has been very good to me and I thank him every day. Hope this note finds you and your family all well, and in great spirits.

  • Just a quick note to say thank you for your thoughtfulness and prayers at this time in our lives. Love the Wilcox Family from Clyde, Alberta

The IV Summit Meeting of the Americas is being held in Mar del Plata on 5 and 6th November under the theme of Work, Poverty and Governability. The head of state of 34 countries will be present as well as representatives for world organizations. There is an an enormous amount of work going on in the affected parts of this city, road repairs, lighting, improving parks, security etc, which of course, the city will inherit. There will be no schools, during those days, no banks and no casino either.

    THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

"A cheerful heart is good medicine" (Prov. 17:22)
LIFE BEGINS AND LIFE ENDS. WE ARE BLESSED BY THE WAKING LIGHT OF DAY AND RESTED BY THE DARK OF NIGHT. IF WE LEARN JUST ONE THING OR HELP JUST ONE PERSON THEN THAT DAY WAS WELL SPENT.
The love of God is like the ocean: you can see its beginning, but not its end.
