Hello everyone!
I would like to start this week's edition off by sharing this email from Cindy from the USA:
While reading through the website today, I happened upon my favorite poem. This is the Little Boy Blue poem I meant when I filled out the survey. I'm sure it is not known to many. It is an old poem that my mother used to read to me soooo long ago.
You are doing a wonderful job with the website. Thank you so much for all your work. I enjoy it so much. I can't believe how much it's grown over such a relatively short amount of time. What a blessing it is to us all.
Your Friend, Cindy Lussier
Little Boy Blue
by Eugene Field (1850-1895)
The little toy dog is covered with dust,
But sturdy and stanch he stands;
And the little toy soldier is red with rust,
And his musket moulds in his hands.
Time was when the little toy dog was new,
And the soldier was passing fair;
And that was the time when our Little Boy Blue
Kissed them and put them there.
"Now, don't you go till I come," he said,
"And don't you make any noise!"
So, toddling off to his trundle-bed,
He dreamt of the pretty toys;
And, as he was dreaming, an angel song
Awakened our Little Boy Blue---
Oh! the years are many, the years are long,
But the little toy friends are true!
Ay, faithful to Little Boy Blue they stand,
Each in the same old place---
Awaiting the touch of a little hand,
The smile of a little face;
And they wonder, as waiting the long years through
In the dust of that little chair,
What has become of our Little Boy Blue,
Since he kissed them and put them there.

- This is Carol from New York. I thought I'd tell you about the vacation I just was on. I went to Frankenmuth, Michigan and stay at the Bavarian Inn Lodge. What a great place. It has 5 swimming pools, huge game room, family restaurants (2) One is for sit down dinners and the other more for fast foods. Also they have a putt-putt, pool tables, karaoke for kids, Lounges for adults, tennis court and gift shops. All indoors. So if weather is bad you don't have to leave the building. About a half mile away is the World's Largest Christmas store - Bronner's Christmas Wonderland. It is the size of 5 football fields. can take you a full day to check everything out. Of course it took me 2 days to do my thing in this place. Shopping bags galore for the Van to bring home.
Then I went on to The Olde Canterbury Village. Well, now they also have a large Christmas store. These places do sell other Holiday items and gifts. But I guess Christmas is my weakness. Both these places are tourist traps, but Oh-what fun you can have. Also these places have websites so others can check them out.
Now for a restful day and get this body back to normal. Nice visiting with you. Take Care Carol from New York
- Please hold all e-mails until the 15th of April, we will be out of town.

- Today is a good day in Crossville, TN. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, God is in His heaven & all is right with the world.
I went to TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) yesterday and I had lost 2&1/4 pounds last week. I have now lost 53 pounds since August of last year. Still have 37 to go, but I have confidence that I will take them off and keep them off. I feel great!!
Love to all, May God Bless each and every one of you. Frances in Sunny Tennessee

- I have been quite busy since my job hunting
started. First I went to Beijing to look for it. Thousands of talents there and they need experienced. Now i turn back to a small town . They like to give me a chance to do new things I never tried before so i have to seize
the chance, right ?? I'm in a company exporting wire mesh. My task is to find oversea customers. I want to learn international business but they couldn't give me any help because they don't know English so everything I
have to self-study. They provide me an office with a computer, just looking for them!! Not easy, I don't have any concepts to do and I dont know where
to start. So at this time, I'm thinking of my WWWCOF, maybe they could give me any tips. I need
our friends help. Can any one notice that if any company in their place need wire mesh. This company dealing with it. Thanks a lot. Everything is totally new for me.
I'm puzzled to do this new job but I like to challenge it.

Wisdom
It takes practice in making wise non-critical decisions to give yourself the best chance to make wise decisions in critical situations. Too many people are never taught how to make the best decisions for themselves. They make decisions based on opinion, either theirs or someone elses, rather than from a knowledge or wisdom base.
Let's clarify the difference between opinion, knowledge, and wisdom. Opinion is a belief regardless of fact, knowledge is an awareness of fact, and wisdom is an awareness of how to use knowledge for good and worthwhile purposes.
Most of the time we run our life according to our opinions. We view the world and make decisions and take action based on our biases, emotions, and personal desires. Basing important decisions on opinion means many will be colored by past disappointments, failure, and previous emotional pain. The resulting decision from that perspective may be one made to avoid future pain rather than to maximize gain or to do the right thing, yet, most of the time this works out all right because most decisions aren't too critical.
There comes a time when we run into a critical decision that has to be made. If we've always made small decisions based on opinion, we often find ourselves lost in trying to make a wise decision. We can become so flustered and unsure of ourselves that a state of mental paralysis can overtake our ability to think clearly and function intelligently.
The more we practice utilizing knowledge and wisdom in our decision making, the better we'll become at it, and the more comfortable we'll be in making crucial decisions when they arise. The key to making wise decision in crucial matters, therefore, is to practice making at least knowledge based decisions now, and preferably wisdom based decisions now, before a crucial necessity arises.
The first step is not to let our emotions run wild. Fear, anxiety, panic, stress, and other reactions to facing a difficult decision are of little use to us in facing the task at hand, other than perhaps to prompt us into action. The first action to take is to start gathering the facts we need to make a knowledgeable decision. Remember, knowledge is simply an awareness of the facts, so we gather the facts first.
Once we've gathered all the facts we can, the next step is to organize and analyze the information. In the analysis of facts the mystery begins to clear as we become more intimately attuned to the various aspects of the situation. The darkness starts to fade and the path begins to emerge from the shadows as our mind grows around the knowledge we gain.
The next step is to start compiling a list of the options we have based solely on the facts. Start by making a simple list of every possible decision we could make. Once complete, go back and start filling in the details of what the possible outcomes may be for each possible decision. From here we may analyze the data again and make a knowledge based decision.
Knowledge based decisions, however, can be cold and analytical, lacking the elements of heart and spiritual insight of a wisdom based decision. To make a wisdom based decision is superior to a knowledge based decision.
- Wisdom is morally good
- Knowledge is morally neutral
- Good is morally superior to neutral
- Therefore, a wisdom based decision is superior to a knowledge based decision
This is the first step toward making a decision based on wisdom, but as long as we observe the world from our singular point of view, we will only see a fraction of the big picture. To gain a bigger view, we may want to enlist the help of our friends and family. Explain the situation to them and ask what they see as your best options - but remember, it's your decision and your responsibility - you are only gaining additional perspective here, not passing the buck.
This may enlighten us to new options, or to why some options we've discovered may be better than others, but true wisdom represents a synergy of mind, spirit, and emotions. To take our decision to the very doorstep of wisdom, we also need to seek spiritual guidance.
Spirituality means different things to different people, and can even mean different things within one's own self at times. Spirituality simply refers to the belief or hope that you have a spiritual aspect to your nature which may mean your Higher Self, your Soul, your True Essence, or your Inner Spirit; it could also include a source for your spiritual nature such as a Universal Spirit, a Creator or God by whatever name your people use, the Collective Consciousness, the Life Force, etc.
To obtain guidance from this spiritual nature, whatever you call it or believe it to be, is merely a matter of asking for it and waiting for the intuition to come. Asking to some will be quieting the mind and asking in thought, others will meditate, some will pray...whatever you feel is right for you is how you should seek guidance from your spiritual source. It's all good. . .as long as you believe the true essence of your source is good.
When you apply your emotions, knowledge, mental analysis and spiritual wisdom to the decision to be made, you have a much greater chance of making the best decision for all concerned. The best decision for all concerned is the best decision for you as well, although it may not be what your selfish side thinks is best. The decision you make should "feel" right to you. If it makes you uncomfortable, anxious or fearful, you may need to reconsider your analysis and options.
Once a decision is made you need to believe in your decision...do not create the result you fear by fearing the result of your decision! Yes, there may be obstacles yet to overcome, but they are a part of the details, part of the path to getting where you want your decision to lead. Keep your eye on the desired result and keep working to make it happen. This is an exercise in faith. Demonstrating faith helps create the energies that bring the results of your decision to fruition.

Spring Fling Swap
Hello every one I thought I better get busy and put together another swap. I am sorry it has taken me some time to get another one ready but went back to work part time and the other lady quit and I am now working full time and don't seem to have enough time in one day to do all the things I want to. It has taken me some time to get into working again. But please be patience with me and I will try to keep the swaps going. Thank you! Our swap for the month of April and May is going to be: SPRING FLING SWAP
Sign up will start April 4, 2005 and deadline for sign up will be April 30. Mail out deadline will be May 15, 2005.
This spring fling swap will be on the theme of Spring and it is a swap that any thing go for spring. Such as spring poetry, butterflies, birds, silk flowers, garden gloves, garden ornaments and such. Please spend as much as you like but usually we put $5.00 as cost for your items as you have cost of mailing. I would love to say include seeds, BUT PLEASE NO SEEDS. Geek's Corner
If you?re feeling like someone?s watching you at work, the good news is you?re not paranoid. The bad news is, your boss really is watching you. According to ?Good Housekeeping Magazine,? 82 percent of employers use some sort of spyware to keep tabs on their employees. Here are some of the ways they do it:
- * There?s an automatic phone dialing system that can periodically call your extension to make sure you?re at your desk. There?s also technology that allows the boss to listen to your voicemails.
- * Email systems are available that give the boss access to your email, both outgoing and incoming.
- * Some word processing software can record every keystroke you make on your computer, and how long it takes you to complete an assignment.
- * And the last trend in spying on employees: the miniature hidden cameras that a third of employers now use. They?re like nanny-cams that can videotape your every move, so your supervisor has a record and can review it any time.

Reunion 2006
Charla, from Florida would like to host reunion 2006 in Florida in the Fall. There is an airport in Daytona but a bit limited so most travellers usually use Orlando which is about an hour or so from them. There is a train station in Deland as well as a bus depot. There is a Holiday Inn on Hwy 92 going to Daytona and some motels in Deland as well as Orange City. She will check for campgrounds but knows there are some. Attractions include Disney World, Seaquarium, Large inside flea markets, some craft fairs, and of course Daytona's boardwalk. There are cruise ships and places where you can go canoeing. Just about all you want. Shopping includes the Sanford Flea market, Shopping Mall in Daytona, thrift stores, Walmart & Kmart and others.
Charla also said that she has been thinking about the reunion and wonders if anyone ever talked about having more than one in different places so the ones who were unable to go to Canada or Argentina or down here could still meet some from the group? Like in Michigan the ones from Ind, Ill, Ky, and Tenn could go there then we could have one here and the ones here and in Carolina, Georgia and places could come here and so on. This way everyone could possibly be involved and still meet each other. Just a thought ......... but the ones who are able to go to wherever is chosen needs to go there & the ones who can't then wherever they can. Got you mixed up yet????????????? Hugs Char

Time Out Babies
Use a medium one-piece sleeper with feet stuffed with poly-fill. A cream coloured knee-high, stuffed with polyfill and tied works well for the head. Children's white socks (or beige pantyhose) works well for the hands. You can hot glue the socks stuffed with polyfill into arms of sleeper at the cuff for the hands. When stuffing the sleeper just slip the socks into the arms first and then continue stuffing. Put a dowel stick in each leg of the sleeper while stuffing. Glue the head on. Glue really good and hold in place until dry. Or you can sew hands and head in place.
Now comes the dressing of the doll. Size 18 months clothes and a size 1 or 2 baby shoes works good. After dressing the doll glue shoes onto the dolls feet (stuffing sleeper foot into shoe). On boys glue baseball cap style hat to head and for girls glue hair (or make braids out of yarn) to whatever hat you might be using. Glue hat to head. This keeps from losing hats and shoes). It is fun to put something in pockets -- keys, sling shots, beads, kids combs, etc. Would be a good idea to glue these in the pockets also. For the girl dolls you can add a children's purse, etc.
I hope that these instructions are not too confusing. You can make up several bodies, heads, and pairs of hands ahead of time. Buy dowel sticks a yard long and cut in three pieces. Two dowel sticks will giveyou 6 equal pieces or three pairs of legs. Good idea to have several pair ready at one time.
Be sure to check out all the wonderful craft ideas in the WWWCOF Craft Site and add your own favourites or email Crafty Jayne from Kansas, USA, who will be happy to add them to our ever growing collection.
